FedEx lives to deliver... your handphone

The next time you leave something important behind, think FedEx.

When American heiress Paris Hilton went to France for a short getaway with her boyfriend, she informed her followers on Twitter that she had left her Blackberry behind in a hurry. And the solution was simple – she FedExed the phone over to herself in France.

The solution may be simple, but it is also costly. According to the shipping details on the FedEx website, it costs about US$150 to have a handphone shipped from LA to France.

Personally, I would choose to live without my precious smartphone, and find some way to deal with the temporal loss. But if I were Hilton, then FedEx would be my immediate choice. After all, they live to deliver.

Or you could think of TNT - Sure they can.

Can't quite remember DHL's and UPS's taglines, unfortunately. a breakdown in their marketing campaign, maybe?

This is a good story. I know of people who have Fed exed their luggage to the holiday destination so they would be baggage free.
Only the super-rich, I guess can do this!

She should've synced her phone to some sort of online service like Google so she could've bought a phone there and paid someone to sync it. Okay that probably would've come up to more than US$150, but I didn't think money was an issue for her.

@vickiho I didn't know you could do that. Then again, it probably isn't about connectivity for Paris Hilton, it might be about the *ahem* pictures in her blackberry.

Come on guys, it's obvious this is Fedex advertising disguised as a story. A lot of companies are using YouTube, Facebook and Twitter for so-called stealth or viral marketing. Seems pretty cheesy to me!

@Anonymous: It might just be Fedex advertising in disguise. But if so, they did a pretty good job. :)
